Personal Philosophy of Giftedness
I believe that children are our most valuable resource. Their educational experience should be one that allows them to explore the world around them, develop the ability to apply what they are learning to other aspects of education. I believe that educators have a responsibility to help develop a lifelong eagerness to learn in their students.
I feel that in some circumstances a student can display an aptitude for learning, creativity, problem solving, leadership and achievement that requires services not readily available inside the regular classroom setting. I believe that nurturing and facilitating the development these gifts and talents will help each academically gifted/talented student reach their full academic potential.
